Position Overview:
Sr. Manager will oversee end-to-end relationship for in-store service/Care between Samsung & Best Buy. They will be responsible for contract, operations, KPIs, reporting, improvement & expansion of the overall program & relationship with BBY as a servicer. Role will be responsible for working with both internal & external teams, and across multiple business functions & teams within the US.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Accountable for overall partner relationship, repair operations, parts operations, strategy implementation, vendor, employee and budget management.
  • Manage overall DTC partner programs, strategy, day-to-day ops, results & oversight.
  • Responsible for all internal & external team communications, process improvements & project management.
  • Achieve service/repair, customer KPI goals & Revenue Budgets
  • Must work in partnership with Service Partner, Marketing & Retail Ops team, Training, Supply Chain. As well as Care leadership for direction.
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
  • Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels within customer's organizations.
  • The ability to negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer leadership, directors and managers with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations.
  • The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple strategic programs and simultaneous performance objectives.
  • The ability to write, read, interpret, explain and act based on a thorough understanding of technical documents, engineering materials and contracts or related documents.
  • Ability to make professional sales and business presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, including complex business and technical matters to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience.
  • Ability to support a cross-functional Samsung team to achieve customer contracted objectives and specific team goals within established time frames and requirements.
  • Must be able to assist in and if needed, direct the Samsung team in lab and field trials related to introduction of products sold to the customer.
Skills and Qualifications
Background/Experience Required:
  • B.S. degree in a technology or business related field and/or 8+ years of experience in partner management, store operations, P&L management, and retail strategy.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel and Access) and have excellent database management skills.
  • Experienced in project management, problem solving skills & excellent follow-up.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills both written or verbal (heavy data reporting of results)
  • Excellent presentations skills in front of all size groups, vendors and servicers.
  • Required Reporting Location: Edina, Minnesota (hybrid schedule required)
  • This role will also require weekly travel for customer meetings at the Best Buy Headquarters in Richfield, Minnesota.
  • Must be willing to travel up to the 20% domestic, outside of the weekly travel to Best Buy.
